Leave Opportunity Restriction

Setting a restriction period allows the group to ensure a notice period the volunteer must give you if they can no longer carry of the shift they are scheduled for.

The setting for the noticed period is in the opportunity builder when creating the volunteer opportunity.

How to set it

• Go to the Opportunity Builder

When creating a volunteer opportunity or editing an existing opportunity to turn this restriction on, open the Application step in the opportunity builder.

• Turn on Leave Restriction

Toggle Leave opportunity restriction on.

• Choose your notice option:

• Always restrict to leave – Volunteers can’t leave a shift online. Organiser contact details will be shown so they can contact the organiser directly.

• Restrict leave for [X] days – Enter the number of days’ notice you require (maximum 60 days).

That’s it!

Volunteers will now see the leave requirements when they apply, so everyone is clear on your expectations.
