Coordinator Role

The Coordinator role has been created for situations where you’d like someone to manage a specific opportunity within your group, without giving them the full access that group Owners and Administrators have.

This role helps maintain security and privacy by limiting access to sensitive group settings, while still allowing Coordinators to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

What can a Coordinator do?

  • Manage opportunities they have been assigned to.

  • Communicate with approved volunteers for those opportunities.

  • Track and record volunteer engagement for those opportunities.

What can’t a Coordinator do?

Unlike Owners and Administrators, Coordinators do not have access to:

  • Group-wide settings or data.

  • Adding or removing group members or administrators.

  • Editing or deleting opportunities.

Who should be given Coordinator access?

You may wish to give Coordinator access to:

  • Team leaders managing a specific event.

  • Program leads responsible for one type of volunteering activity.

  • Project-based volunteers who need oversight of an opportunity but not group-wide access.
